In November 2020, I received a veteran's form filled out by Edwin Mathew Quinn, who was living in Rochelle Park at the time, telling of his service. 

Edwin Mathew Quinn is a 1956 Hackensack High School graduate.

The year after high school, Edwin M. Quinn enlisted into the United States Coast Guard on February 20, 1957 and served 41 years until August 21, 1998.   Edwin M. Quinn rose to the rank of Commander and served as such during his service at Barnegat Stn., Sandy Hook Stn., and Governors Island, New York.  He also was Commander of Op-Sail ‘92. 

Edwin Mathew Quinn received commendation awards and medals for Expert Rifle, Expert Pistol, Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Medal, Humanitarian Award, and Shore Command Medal.
